Many would define the modern hero as one who helps others. Seemingly invincible. No scars, scratches or bruises. Just gets up and saves lives. No questions asked. I don’t know about you but that sounds quite boring. Also a lot of heroes are either dark or light. Those that straddle that grey line end up falling into one category or the other. I missed the days of The Shadow. A man classified as a hero, but with a darker side. Batman is a favorite of mine. However, he too has suffered from the curse of black and white lines. Made to be dark, but lacking something in that area. He wont kill. Admirable, but takes away from his dark persona. Spawn is one of the grey characters due to the writing making the characters bleed once in awhile and have emotional scars. However, the comics are getting away from the grey lines as well. So, years ago I created a character called The Ghost. A retired hero who returns to redeem not only his city, but himself. Can he do it?
Maybe. However, I am bringing back the mystery and coolness of the hero and making the hero feel again.
In Dawn City, where darkness and pain evade the morning sun, lives Doctor Gordon Vincent. He is 62. He lives with a dark secret. He was once an outlaw. An outlaw who stood up to the injustice around him. He was…The Ghost, protector of Dawn City. Long retired for over 23 years, he has returned under the guise of his alter ego. Along with a new secret lair and the latest advanced technology to declare war on the criminals of Dawn City.
Old enemies will return. New enemies will rise. Mysteries will be revealed.
A legend will rise…again!!
